Supervising shift activities for Respiratory Care. Performs duties to include resourcing, monitoring, scheduling, educating, developing and disciplining personnel while optimizing appropriateness of respiratory care procedures. Provides quality clinical care throughout the hospital.
Maintains recommended standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. We are a 13-bed unit with 4 overflow antepartum rooms, 2 OR suites and a new 4 bed OB-ED. We have 24/7 coverage by a Hospitalist, along with a great group of physicians. Any laboring mom or preterm mom greater than 20 weeks may be seen on this unit; along with postpartum moms needing to be readmitted. Our goal is to adhere to the AWHONN standards. We closely monitor staffing to patient census which means—1:2 laboring patients, 1:1 active labor or C-section, 1:3 antepartum patients and 1:4 triage/OB-ED. We provide patient centered care as the entire health care team work together to care for mother and baby.

The primary role of Painter is to perform routine painting, wall covering and floor repairs or replacement. Assists with routine maintenance of the department. May perform preventative and/or corrective work orders. System responsibilities include completing work orders and preventative maintenance assignments, as well as responding to emergencies that arise.
