JOB PURPOSE:
Develop and manage the execution of business-to-consumer and business-to-business marketing
strategies and efforts, using CRM, data and other resources, to drive business growth and enhance brand
awareness for all assigned Piedmont Healthcare entities; which includes overall system, affiliated
hospitals, service lines, programs, and physician group. Works with operational leaders to identify and
achieve priorities, goals and objectives for the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Identifies marketing and communications needs and goals, consults and advises business partners
on the best ways to reach those goals, develops the strategic plans and direction of the marketing
initiatives, and executes programs to drive volume and build awareness.
2. Leads cross functional teams of directors, physicians, and executives through the marketing planning
process and successful implementation of the plan.
3. Conducts and provides analysis of efforts to optimize and to determine effectiveness.
4. Financial administration including the development of budgets, resource allocation, metrics, etc.
Recommends and manages budgets for projects and campaigns and ensures adherence to approved
fiscal parameters.
5. Assesses current market and future marketing trends. Suggests strategies for capitalizing on market
opportunities including growth and awareness.
6. Identifies, evaluates, and makes recommendations regarding competitive threats and trends.
7. Collaborates with creative team and agency to develop identifiable graphic standards and ensure
brand consistency.
8. Plans, develops, and supervises the preparation, issuance, and delivery of marketing campaigns,
collateral materials, sales enablement tools and digital media, including identifying the needs of
business partners and developing and managing recommendations from ideation and development
to execution (involves managing relationships with business partners, outside vendors and agency
partners, and internal “agency” team – digital, content team, writers, graphic designers, PR, internal
communications, etc.).
9. Designs and plans for new service launches, including volume growth through promotion allocation
and execution of special events.
10. Responsible for the day-to-day task supervision of and direction for Marketing and Communications
staff. Is available for questions, concerns and direction, bringing high-level issues up to appropriate
leadership.
11. Perform any special assignments or tasks as needed.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or a closely related field is required.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Five (5) years of progressively responsible work experience in marketing and public relations.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Marketing, marketing communications or public relations experience in healthcare, physician marketing or
a closely related field is preferred.
