RESPONSIBLE FOR:
The Lead Cardiac Device Specialist will be an expert in the field of Cardiac Rhythm management. This position will be responsible for ensuring that the delivery of this service to ICD and Pacemaker patients is of the highest clinical standard at all device clinics. A high standard of advanced clinical knowledge in dealing with patients with implanted devices is required. As well as ensuring continues competency of the cardiac device techs.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school graduate or GED equivalent required. Graduation from or completion of a formal educational or Cardiac Device training program consisting of training and knowledge of cardiac rhythm management and device interrogation.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of five years clinical cardiology and EP experience as a Pacemaker/ICD tech.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) certification by International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor?s degree preferred.
