Responsibilities

Provides professional nursing care for patients with acute and/or chronic wounds, ostomies, fistulas, tubes, skin, and incontinence issues. Works under the direct supervision of the Wound Care Clinician or providers to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Responsible for maintaining the standards of practice, complying with established policy and procedure, managing supplies and equipment, and promoting collaboration with medical and other staff. Supports the facility's mission statement, achieving customer satisfaction and identifying system problems as opportunities for improvement.Performs all of the duties of Hyperbaric Technologist role. Responsible for coordinating day-to-day operations to ensure efficient delivery of Hyperbaric Services. Responsible for the training, education, and proctoring of all PRN or other covering staff. Leads safety initiatives, assisting with policy and procedure development for safety measures for the entity and the Wound Center. Supports leadership with cost covering, coding/billing issues, helping get patients approved for services, and managing daily finances.

Qualifications

Education
  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program Required
  • Associate’s Degree Successfully completes the Wound Treatment Associate Program in the first 12 months of hire Required
  • Successfully completes a 40-hour Primary Training in Hyperbaric Medicine in the first 12 months of hire Required
Work Experience
  • 2 years of clinical experience in nursing Required
Licenses and Certifications
  • Current Georgia licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse Required
  • BLS certification Required
Additional Licenses and Certifications
  • Successful completion of Hyperbaric Safety Director and Acrylics course Preferred
  • Certification in a nationally accredited wound specialty program Preferred
  • Certification as a Hyperbaric Technologist Preferred
