This is an on-site position based out of our System Support Center at Atlantic Station in Atlanta, GA.

 

Responsibilities

What you will do

  • Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all MRI procedures on patients in every age group.
  • Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
  • Maintains competency in all non-scanner related components.
  • Accurately follows established imaging protocols for exam being performed.
  • Performs quality control procedures in accordance with the ACR guidelines.
  • Provides quality age specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.
  • Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.
  • Maintains proficiency to perform advance MR procedures.
  • Regularly assumes responsibilities and provides direct care for the more complex patients
  • Functions independently with little guidance from manager.
  • Performs pre-Scan review of orders and protocols for appropriateness, reviews patient labs for renal function, confirms patient readiness via communication with on-site staff and employs all safety behaviors to validate patients identity using 2 separate identifiers.
  • Remotely initiates and controls scanning and technical parameters in real time and monitors image quality repeating any sequences as needed
  • Maintains continuous audio/video communication with on-site personnel while providing technical and administrative guidance to the qualified on-site operator.
  • Documents scan details, protocol deviations, and technical issues.
  • Uses each remote session as an opportunity to train supporting on-site personnel, fostering teamwork and encouraging technical growth.

Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required

Work Experience

  • 2 years experience as an MRI Technologist required

Licenses and Certifications

  • Advanced certification by the ARRT in MRI (MR) required
  • BLS certified required
