This is a PRN position that could vary with days, includes weekends, hours of 8a-4p. If the weekend is on call, hours are reflective of the number of STAT EEG orders.
JOB PURPOSE:
Performs standard electroencephalographic, electromyographic, or nerve conduction procedures on
patients as ordered by the physician.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform patient chart review and patient interview.
2. Perform lead placement and review impedance.
3. Perform study acquisition of routine, sleep, and portable EEGs, EMG, or NCS.
4. Complete documentation of all studies performed, complete monthly reports
5. Communicate with others in the lab, nursing, and physician staff.
6. Manage the environment by keeping equipment clean and in working order.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school graduate or equivalent
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Six (6) months of direct patient care experience preferred OR 2 years of non-patient care healthcare
experience.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
CPR
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Obtain registry through ABRET in one area of neurodiagnostics or Registered Polysomnographic Tech by
BRPT preferred
Experience with research and analysis of data preferred. Experience with editing collateral preferred.
