PIEDMONT  HENRY  HOSPITAL – IMAGING  DEPARTMENT 

 

Imaging jobs at Piedmont Henry offer the opportunity for you to work in a state-of-the-art hospital featuring the very best equipment, great staff, flexible scheduling, and a great work environment. Our Imaging department has their own transporters and patient lift equipment to help move patients for imaging exams. We have 8, 10 and 12 hour shifts as well as weekend option pay. Our department includes X-ray Techs, CT Techs, MRI Techs, Ultrasound Techs, Mammography Techs, Interventional Radiology Techs, OR X-ray Techs, Unit Secretaries, Transporters, RN’s, PA’s, and Radiologist. 

We are a 259-bed hospital, a level III trauma center, a level III neonatal intensive care unit and stroke certified. Our Emergency room sees about 100,000 patients a year. 

 

Our Imaging department consist of the following: 

 

X-ray 3 Routine Rooms & 2 Fluoro Rooms (86,000 exams per year) 

CT 4 CT Siemens rooms (72,000 exams per year) 

MRI` 2 MRI units (1.5T Siemens & 3T GE) (10,000 exams per year) 

Ultrasound 3 Siemens Rooms (21,000 exams per year) 

Breast Health Center 4 Hologic Diag/Screening Rooms & 1 DEXA (23,000 per year) 

IR 1 GE Room (2,500 exams per year) 

Outpatient Diagnostic Center CT, MRI, Mammography & X-ray (11,000 exams per year) 

Surgery (OR) 5 GE OEC C-Arms 

CSU Pre and Post unit for patients receiving moderate sedation 

 

Responsibilities

Performs and supervises modality daily operations and provides leadership relative to the assigned area. This position requires 70 percent patient care and 30 percent supervisory functions. Promotes and advocates imaging services by remaining abreast of the latest changes in technology and equipment. The Lead MRI Technologist ensures accreditations standards are maintained as well as performs a variety of tasks involving the operation of MRI equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate.

Qualifications

Education
  • Graduate of Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program. Required
Work Experience
  • 3 years of technical experience Required and
  • Experience in leadership of personnel Required
Licenses and Certifications
  • MRI - Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with certification in MRI Upon Hire Required and
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
