Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for-profit community hospital in Conyers that has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to Rockdale County and surrounding communities since 1954. We offer 24-hour emergency care, plus most major medical, surgical and diagnostic services.

Accountable for leading the daily operations of the technician staff assigned as they meet the needs of patients and staff. Provides input to department leadership regarding staff development and performance measures. Responsible for quality improvement, orientation and training, drug distribution, and projects as assigned by department leadership. Functions in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations. Assists with invoice processing for department as assigned. Provides orientation and training to the pharmacy technician team. Functions in all duties of a Pharmacy Technician.

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• 2 years of pharmacy technician practice Required

Licenses and Certifications

• PHRMTECH-R - Registered Pharmacy Technician Current registration with the state Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required
• PTCB Certification Preferred
