Fellow - Cardiac Surgery/Cardiac Critical Care - Piedmont Heart Institute

 

Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) is recruiting for a Advanced Practice Cardiac Surgery/Cardiac Critical Care Fellow to join the cardiac team providing excellent patient care to our surgical patients. You will be joining a team of thirteen advanced practice providers and solely focus on cardiac surgery. This is a full-time fellowship opportunity.

 

This is a great opportunity to be employed by one of the nation’s leading cardiology programs. You will work alongside some of the most respected and highly-trained physicians. Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) provides the full line of cardiovascular services with dedicated electrophysiology, transplant, advanced heart failure, critical care, interventional, surgical and research services.

Responsibilities

 

In this position you will:

 

  • Round on post-op patients
  • Provide office consults one day per week with a designated surgeon
  • EVH and chest closure in the OR
  • Thoracentesis and chest tube insertion and care
  • Provide care to LVAD patients

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters, Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited NP or PA program and National Board Certification

--or-- Nurse and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification

Experience:

Cardiac Surgery/ICU/Critical Care experience preferred.
