*This position will support Piedmont Rockdale and the schedule requires onsite presence Mon-Thurs* 

To coordinate the non-clinical aspects of the day to day operations of the medical staff office. This position will provide best practice administrative support services for all aspects of the Medical Staff Services Department. Accountability will be expected in coordination of practitioner competency systems; policies, procedures and documents; support of Medical Staff Leadership; Medical Staff Office operations; Medical Staff and hospital collaboration and leadership by demonstrating current practices and by using and integrating technology. The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for developing systems that support the Medical Staff and Hospital's mission and strategic plan.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree Required or
• In Lieu of degree six (6) years of experience beyond minimum experience Required

Work Experience

• 3 years administrative experience preferably in a healthcare related field Required
• ability to compose letters and meeting minutes Required
• basic knowledge of hospital and/or medical staff affairs Required
• Experience with promoting excellent customer service Preferred
• Experience in healthcare Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Certified Medical Professional Services Management (CPMSM) Preferred
• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or eligible to sit for the exam Preferred
