Overview
Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Qualifications
Education- Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program Required or
- In Lieu of certificate, equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Required
Work Experience- No experience required Required
- 1 year of experience Preferred
Licenses and Certifications- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
- ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography Must become registered by the ARDMS within (6) months of employment. within 180 Days Required and
- Vascular Sonographers must become registered and/or RVT, RVS, RT(S), RT(VS) within (6) months of employment. within 180 Days Required and
- (BR) ARDMS or ARRT - Breast Sonography - Breast Licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS) Required
- RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist Preferred
- RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer Preferred
