JOB PURPOSE:
The Anesthesia Advanced Practice Provider (CRNA or Anesthesiologist Assistant) functions as an integral member of the anesthesia care team and practices under the medical direction of anesthesiologists to provide safe, high-quality, and patient-centered anesthesia services. The provider delivers care to patients across all acuity levels in a variety of clinical settings, including surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.

9a-3p Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday or 9a-7p Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
· Ability to perform clinically as part of an anesthesia care team
· Ability to operate, use, and interpret data from a wide variety of equipment to perform anesthesia care as well as necessary perioperative or operating room care to support the safety and well-being of the patient while they are under the direct care of the CRNA or PA - AA
· Effective verbal and written communication skills are required to collaborate with various clinical staff and other disciplines
· Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient population(s) served
· Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s requirements relative to his or her population-specific and age specific needs
· Knowledge of infection prevention and control techniques
· Ability to maintain confidential records
· Ability to implement and adhere to facility policies and procedure
· Facilitate the timely delivery of care and efficient function of the OR
· Experience with CABGs, valves, and ideally LVADs and heart transplants
· Will also them cover cath lab, EP lab, as well as non-cardiac cases
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA):
Graduation from a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (or its predecessor)
OR
Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA):
Master’s degree in Anesthesia from an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant program
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
One (1) year of previous work experience in hospital setting, clinical quality, or performance improvement.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current Georgia CRNA license (or eligible and willing to obtain Georgia licensure)
Certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
OR
For Anesthesiologist Assistants:
Current Georgia Anesthesiologist Assistant license (or eligible and willing to obtain Georgia licensure)
Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
1099:
1099 employment with covered medical malpractice.
